Environmental Specialist

Top 3 must-haves:
- 8+ years of relevant environmental consulting experience
- Open to someone who started in consulting and then switched to industry
- The majority of 8 years need to be in consulting, but 3-4 years in industry is okay
- Geology, Environmental, or related degree
- 3+ years Manager/doer who can lead and mentor staff while remaining hands-on
- May not have a manager title but instead mentorship experience
- Ability to lead/manage the Austin group and build strong internal relationships
- 6-8 reports
- Strong client-facing/business development skills — approximately 25% industry networking, developing new and existing client relationships
- Experience with Phase I/Phase II ESAs, environmental due diligence, remediation, and regulatory requirements
- Experience with soil and groundwater sampling, laboratory coordination, data review/Excel, and technical reporting
- Project management and technical review experience; does not need to be a technical wizard
- Management 70% management and 30% hands on
- Leader that drives growth and can develop the other scientists
- Experience supporting oil & gas/industrial clients with environmental investigations and remediation
- Must have a leadership role in a remediation environment - need to be able to train the technical side
- Environmental site assessments
- Oil and gas experience
- Working with soil or vapor or ground water investigations
- Going out to redevelopment sites and evaluating risks
- Range: 80k- 130k
